How to remove a virus detected by TechGenie Antivirus?

Do you suspect that your computer is infected with a virus? Are you hesitant if you want to remove the file that TechGenie Antivirus has detected in the scan process? On detecting a virus with any scan process (whether Quick, Full System or Custom) is performed, TechGenie will enable you to decide how you want to remove a virus from your PC.

Click on ‘Scan Results’ button to view the scan results in detail. Select an overall action to be taken for all issues or you can select separate actions for each group of issues detected. You will find following options appeared on the screen:

Delete: You can simply delete the threat found by clicking on the ‘Delete’ button.

Quarantine: You can move the threat found to the ‘Quarantine’ folder by clicking on the ‘Quarantine’ button.

Mark as Safe: The threat marked as ‘Mark as Safe’ is considered safe hereafter and is not detected as threat in all future scans.

If you choose ‘Quarantine’ option to isolate the virus-infected files so that those files cannot disinfect or corrupt other files, then push those suspicious files in a secure area named quarantine. When a virus is in quarantine it cannot do any harm because it cannot be executed or read.

Follow these steps to check and manage quarantined files:

  1. Open the ‘Antivirus’ window.
  2. Click on the ‘Antivirus’ tab and select ‘Preferences’.
  3. Select ‘Quarantine’ and ‘Quarantine Chest’ window appears.
  4. To delete a Quarantined file, select it and click ‘Delete’.
  5. To remove a file from Quarantine, select it and click ‘UnQuarantine

Thus, you can delete or quarantine or keep a file after TechGenie detects any threat with the scan process.
