TechGenie Antivirus thoroughly checks your computer to detect all the malicious files. In order to protect the non-infected files, it moves the infected files to a more protected area, called ‘Quarantine’. Any quarantinedmoved to a protected placeis encrypted, which means it cannot be run or executed. This isolation further prevents the infected files from ruining the remaining files on your PC. Not just this, TechGenie Antivirus scans the quarantined files after each malware signature update. And all the cleaned files are automatically moved back to their original location.
To check and manage quarantined files, follow these steps:
Step 1: Open the Antivirus window.
Step 2: Click on the ‘Antivirus’ tab and select ‘Preferences’.
Step 3: Select ‘Quarantine’ and ‘Quarantine Chest’ window will appear.
Step 4: To delete a ‘Quarantined’ file, select it and click on ‘Delete’.
Step 5: To remove a file from ‘Quarantine’, select it and click on ‘UnQuarantine’.
Any files marked as UnQuarantine might be transferred back to the Quarantine folder if it is detected as malware-infected in any future scams or by real-time monitoring service.
